Software Engineer

General information:

Hitachi energy is seeking a Software Engineer for its Jefferson City, MO location. This role is responsible for R&D team which is supporting development, implementation, training and long term support of the new optimization system for distribution transformer. Our business is power equipment manufacturing which involves various business processes from engineering to manufacturing. This position requires presence in the office in Raleigh (NC) or Jefferson City (MO). You will work within an international team of distribution transformer specialists and use different IT tools such as C#, SQL, Angular. Candidates will be required to travel up to 15% (globally) based on project needs.

Responsibilities:

o Building Azure based application (.Net / Angular) o Create/Update architecture of product o Creating POC on new technologies and new architectures o Creating/maintaining CI/CD pipeline Set and maintain Azure Infrastructure Environment. Implement new features. Bug fixing. Code refactoring. Define and implement infrastructure and habits of Code review and Code Quality Assurance. Work in Agile multinational team.

Your background:

A technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. Ideally has a minimum of 5 years of related experience or a Master's degree and 2 years' experience. Hand on programming experience with C#.NET (2-year minimum). Working knowledge in Azure Development (Batch, Docker, Queues, Functions, Storage, MSSQL). Basic knowledge on Web Development (Angular 2+ is a plus). Experience with SQL server (MS SQL). Experience with CI/CD pipeline in Azure environment. Familiar with modern project management tools and processes (Azure DevOps, Agile, etc.). Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
