The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for design, optimized engineering, commissioning and trouble shooting of Substation Automation system for domestic and overseas customers. Developing, deploying and maintaining a SCADA system includes designing hardware and software functional specifications for Substation Automation systems. After the specifications are designed, these professionals test and verify the system to ensure functionality and monitor systems to quickly address problems.
Your background:
Bachelor degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems or equivalent. Minimum 3-8years experience in Substation automation system engineering, RTU engineering etc. Knowledge about Substation automation protocols and communication systems. Experience in substation automation system commissioning and cubicle engineering and manufacturing. Must be hands on with SAS systems and gateway solutions commissioning / testing and troubleshooting, Should have experience in Hitachi energy MicroSCADA systems, HE RTU systems are an advantage. Knowledge in SAS Panel base design and detail design documentation. Experience in Relay Configuration software is an advantage. SCADA protocols: DNP3, Modbus, IEC 60870-5-101, IEC 60870-5-104, SPA, LON and IEC 61850. SCADA connectivity: TCP/IP over CAT5 and Fibre, RS-232/485 (ability to debug these physical links is must) Must have people skills, in particular the ability to work with both domestic/international customers and suppliers as a SCADA/Communications Systems integrator. Having knowledge on substation equipment and basic knowledge on protection functions. Willingness to travel is must. Experience in CAE tools like: E3,MicroStation is advantage.
