Responsibilities:
Acting as a quality Project manager - analyse quality issues, work with organization to identify and execute initiatives and projects to improve quality Supplier quality and development for external steel manufacturers (suppliers) Steel engineering and expertise resource for the entire GIS organization Audit steel suppliers to ensure they are compliant with latest certificates (ISO9001) Keeping and maintaining the Quality Lessons Learned database with reference projects, root causes and solutions leading steel quality issues on site / factory Analyse project specific requirements and instruct the suppliers on the specific topics regarding packing, marking, manufacturing, documentation and certificates for the customer, specific test requirements. Review customer specification regarding steel structure and educate customer about our specification, moreover lead onsite inspection with customer Develop and maintain guidelines for steel structures manufacturing, share them with steel manufacturers and train them on the guidelines Lead supplier improvement initiatives and Lean / process mapping experience
Your background:
Bachelor or Master in civil or mechanical engineering or equivalent years of experience working in steel manufacturing environment Knowledge of Manufacturing codes desirable (DIN EN ISO 1461, ISO 6520-1, ISO 13920, ISO 5579, ISPM15, ASTM 123, EN 1090, or equivalent) Experience with SAP advantageous CAD (3D and 2D-Auto-CAD, Tekla) knowledge advantageous Very good knowledge of English is required German and other languages advantageous Good communication (written and spoken) and organizational skills and experience in inter-cultural cooperation
