Your responsibilities:
- Sales support: Offers technical advice and provides support on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/sales personnel regarding Grid Edge Solutions’ products/systems/ applications.
- Provides technical support during technical meetings, product presentations and tendering phase of the sales process. Provide support with the integration of batter energy storage systems and other microgrid assets into power systems.
- Diagnostic studies: Performs analytic, diagnostic, and economical feasibility studies to determine most suitable technical solution to meet customer needs. Proposes technical solutions for complex enquiries.
- Presentations: Prepares and delivers technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues.
- Promote and present products, system and services
- Deep knowledge and continued learning of battery energy storage technology and applicable market drivers
- Support conferences as needed
- Stay informed of various industry standards surrounding energy storage such as NFPA 855 and UL9540
- Knowledge of power system and applicable standards.
- Conduct webinars on solution offerings
- Understand customer needs and work with the Operating Unit Bid & Proposals team to determine the most ideal customer solution.
- Ensure the technical aspect of bids are professional are targeted, concise and successful with the aim of driving continuous improvements.
- Participate in the Risk Review process and Risk review meetings when applicable
- Collaborate with colleagues and pears in Grid Edge Solutions Units around the globe to establish best practices in the MicroGrid sales process
- Foster Teamwork
- Drive and desire for continued learning of new and emerging technologies applicable to Grid Edge Solution market.
Your background:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and a minimum 5 years of experience working in automation and/or electric distribution.
- Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the North America.
- Certificate of Completion from a technical or military technical school and ten years of experience working in automation and electric distribution
- Prior experience working with Homer modeling
- Prior experience working with microgrid solutions
- Prior experience working with energy storage solutions
- Knowledge of NFPA 855 and UL 9540 standards
- Prior experience with design, build, and constructing turnkey energy storage projects.
