Project Operations Manager
In this management position, you will be head of the Operations department, working with projects mainly on the global market. Reporting to the Head of the Unit, you will be responsible for the full project portfolio, ensuring that customer commitments are delivered on time, on budget, and with excellent HSE considerations and quality performance.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include all commercial and contractual aspects within the projects. You will be involved from tender preparation all the way throughout project execution. It will be your responsibility to ensure that projects deliver the expected revenue, profitability and cash flow; to support the decision on the project setup, to allocate resources, and to handle risks and opportunities within the entire project portfolio.
Your team consists of experienced project managers, reporting directly to you or to one of your direct reports, and a project operations support team. Your primary assignments will be to coach, lead and develop this team and to develop the related processes and working methods, in order to support the implementation of the strategy. You will also lead project reviews, resolve escalated issues, consistently apply contract and claims management, and participate in risk review meetings. It will be important that you build and maintain relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.
Background
- Educational background: technical or economics - > Master / Bachlor / FH
- Extensive leadership experience with staff responsibility
- Deep knowledge of the execution of complex projects and of financial reporting
- Experience in the power electronics industry (desirable)
- Experience of working with customers and suppliers globally
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop people
- Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and customers
- A highly self-motivated and result-oriented collaborator who will enjoy the challenge of taking full ownership of the execution of the project portfolio
- Fluency in English and German
