Aging assets, rising energy demand and the critical need to avoid unplanned outages are challenging utilities and industrials around the world. While financial constraints are reducing maintenance budgets and investment, demand for increased return on investment is unchanged. Transformer Service portfolio allows utilities and industrials to maximize the return on transformer assets by ensuring a high reliability, reducing life cycle costs and ensuring optimized performance, while lowering environmental impact.
For our Transformer Service business unit we are now looking for a Service Technical Engineer Specialist.
Your responsibilities:
Complete assignments on power transformer service projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements;
Evaluate, select and apply standard techniques 3D CAD modeling and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Provide technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities.
Prepare project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables;
Assist in preparing proposal of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.);
Provide quality and technical solutions as per customer requirements and deliver within budget and contract. Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.
Collaborate with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed on with potential suppliers.
Provide technical evaluation of supplier proposals, and accept as fit for purpose supplied equipment or service.
Your background:
Master degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering;
Solid engineering technical expertise (design, testing, components specifications, diagnostic reports...);
Good knowledge of 3D CAD modeling tools;
Interest for transformers business;
Good knowledge of both Italian and English language (B2);
Planning and prioritizing skills, customer oriented mindset and proactivity are required.
