You will be the support lead person for Automation, Protection and Control engineering and services based on MicroSCADA and RTU560, and IEDs Relion 670/650 product family in diverse engineering projects in our Grid Automation Business Unit in Spain. Reporting to the GA Lead Engineering Manager AC, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of assigned project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with relevant quality and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Lead technical projects and making technical recommendations in the testing, installation, and commissioning phases of customer projects.
Making technical recommendations in the testing, installation, and commissioning phases of customer projects.
Providing technical details, costs, and deliverables for sales proposals.
Supporting project managers and other project lead engineers in technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors, and vendors.
Supporting contract managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards.
Creating and delivering the scope-specific work plan and budget as well as risk assessments as it pertains to your engineering discipline.
Helping customers resolve technical issues both remotely and on domestic and international customer sites.
Developing your leadership and communication skills by working with entry-level engineers, technicians and support teams.
Providing the cost-effective execution of Automation and protection level project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule and safety requirements.
Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project.

Your background:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
Experience in station level control, working as project and/or commissioning engineer with SCADA and RTU solutions, protocols such as IEC61850 and communication protocols such as 104, 103, DNP, Modbus, etc. will be highly considered.
Experience in bay level protection, working as project and/or commissioning engineer with Hitachi Energy Relion products as well as other third-party protection devices, will be highly considered.
Knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, including IET, RTU, third-party configuration products and substation protocols such as IEC61850.
Current driving license valid in Spain and work permit in Europe.
Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
Willingness to travel nationally working on customer sites.
