For our Marketing, Sales and Product Management team, understanding the full potential of our technology and the trends in our markets is highly rewarding Helping customers all over the world improve efficiency, save resources and reduce emissions gives our work a powerful sense of purpose Responsible for marketing, promoting and selling the transformer Service portfolio in Spain. The role is to maximize the Hitachi Energy transformer service business volume, market potential and opportunities. Visiting current and potential clients to secure business and ensuring continual update of Hitachi Energy’s sales and marketing tool with visit reports and opportunities. Interfacing with tendering, operations and technical team to ensure fit to business capabilities and maximize opportunities to better Client expectations. Understanding of the customers’ economies and what adds value to them. You will define, plan and ensure implementation of product marketing strategies for Transformer Service Spain, meeting business objectives in terms of business volume and order intake, and aligning with global product strategy. Located in Galindo (near Bilbao), Spain, and reporting to the Transformer Service Manager in Spain, you will oversee all sales and marketing activities, events and market research to drive sales up and increase market share. Providing marketing and pipeline forecasts and data and strategy to support business growth.

Your responsibilities

  • Achieve the yearly targets for Transformer Service Sales and portfolio expansion
  • Developing and overseeing implementation of the local product marketing strategy, including definition and communication of value propositions and positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategy and in conjunction with the rest of the Sales Team, including Transformer Market Manager, Hub and GPG Sales leaders, with strong focus on business development
  • Coordinating market analyses with the Transformer Product Marketing and Sales team, defining appropriate forecasts and business/marketing plans for Transformer Service in Spain across the whole portfolio
  • Achieving business targets through regular review of marketing activities and implementation of improvement plans as needed.
  • Optimize market coverage by geography, channels and product lines. Develop new customers and market segments and ensure profitably increase of local volume
  • Strengthen the customer relationship through market intelligence, market communications and local account management. Where appropriate takes active personal role in sales. Ensure sustainable growth targets are achieved
  • Evaluating and sharing customer research, market conditions and competitor analysis
  • Driving Sales efficiency by delivering appropriate product knowledge information, providing training (technical and sales) for the Country Sales Organisation and encouraging collaboration and knowledge-sharing
  • Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business

Your background

  • University degree or Electrical Engineering or similar
  • More than 5 years of experience in Sales and/or marketing in Electrical / Power Engineering industry/ Utilities, preferably with focus on service and after sales
  • Experience and knowledge in Service within the electrical power industry would be of benefit
  • Strong background in power systems and Transformer technology
  • Experience in development and implementation of marketing and sales strategy
  • Knowledge and experience of sales and marketing tools such as Sales Force/digital marketing tools – SalesForce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator / similar} are necessary
  • Good command of English required. French will be highly valued
