Tendering Engineer

Mission Statement:

Develops innovative and cost-effective proposals in alignment with Hitachi Energy’s standards and targets. Supports pre-sales technical and commercial activities for internal and external customers, in accordance with the APAC HUB strategy.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will implement local sales support and bidding strategy.
  • You will ensure effective support of bid & proposal activities assigned.
  • You will do preparation of techno-commercial proposals through internal and external resources.
  • You will ensure all proposals follow relevant Hitachi Energy procedures and guidelines as well as legal requirements. Works closely with Sales, SLS and business management teams to structure proposals/contracts/bid documents.
  • You will ensure most competitive offers considering the market situation and customer’s priorities (technical/commercial) and conditions. Identifies optimal approach (e.g., direct sales, consortium, or channel) to better serve the customers.
  • You will ensure all proposals terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, pricing) are in accordance and compliance to company’s policy in each offer.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources for technical and commercial support and proposal preparation.
  • Supports bid/no bid analyses and decisions. Participates and manages the deal Risk Review processes.
  • You will ensure support to the Sales organizations during the technical meetings, product presentations, and in negotiations with customers to provides technical support and clarification as needed.

Your background:

  • You hold a Engineering/Trade qualifications – Electrical or equivalent.
  • Required 5 years’ experience in Electrical Manufacturing or Power Industry in similar role.
  • Experience across Electrical Industry within Utilities, Power T&D or Power Systems projects, especially in Substation Automation & Communication is an advantage.
  • Advanced computer skills across MS Office, MS Teams, Outlook, SharePoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English, Korean), with high attention to detail.
  • Able to work with multiple stakeholders across functions.
