Technical Trainer - Gas Insulated Switchgears 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

Do you enjoy teaching theoretical as well as practical aspects in an international environment? Do you have profound technical know-how with Gas-Insulated Switchgears (GIS) or other high voltage products? Then we might have the ideal opportunity for you! As a Technical Training for Gas Insulated Switchgears, you are responsible for training and certification of our global network of field service engineers. Further you would provide tailored trainings to external customers worldwide. Being part of the global Gas Insulated Switchgear competence center in Zurich, Switzerland you support the global network in technical aspects as a subject matter expert.

Your responsibilities

  • Classroom Training
  • Preparation and execution of existing course program and teaching documentation (for external customers and internal Hitachi Energy Field Service Engineers)
  • Maintain and up-date the teaching materials based on new product instruction(s) and/or site experience(s)
  • Creation of new training modules and development within defined expert scope according to technical and strategic Network/Market needs
  • Monitor training quality and adapt the course execution based on results of review sessions and/or participants feedbacks
  • Prepare tailored trainings (documentation and equipment) in case of special requests
  • Responsibility for the HSE aspects during training according to Hitachi Energy directives
  • Serve as role model across organization and instructs other colleagues
  • On-site Training / Assessments
  • Execution - if needed - of practical on-site assessment in the field
  • Execution - if needed - of trainings at customer site
  • Monitoring and controlling of trainee’s on-site training, assessment and certification status
  • Review and critical questioning of assessments / assessments reports, communication with assessors

Your background

  • Technical Apprenticeship or higher technical education
  • Thinking independently to proactively challenge traditional solutions and developing new approaches/standards
  • Structured, analytical and data driven mindset
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 15 %
  • Preferable On-Site experience handling Gas Insulated Switchgear products especially subtransmission products (full responsibility) or other High Voltage Products
