Hitachi Energy High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. The Service unit is responsible for the worldwide after sales support of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems and gas insulated switchgears (GIS), including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services, troubleshooting, extensions, retrofits and replacements. Do you enjoy working with people? As the HSE Advisor, you proactively lead to ensure safe working practices and programs are further developed and maintained throughout the organization. As well as ensuring accountability and high-level safety performance throughout the organization. Through, coaching and support at all levels of the organization you realize an exemplary safety culture as part of our total commitment to quality and reliability.
Your responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong commitment towards health and safety standards and guidelines, management systems, and procedures
- Communicate health and safety initiatives, processes, and procedures throughout the organization to ensure all persons have a common and uniform understanding
- Monitor compliance of health and safety requirements and handling non-conformance issues according to relevant procedures
- Assist and guide all levels of management, supervisors, and employees on-site to implement accident prevention activities plus where necessary provide an interface to Contractors/Clients
- Roll-out, where necessary, initiate and maintain quality input of a health and safety management system
- Carry out safety audits, investigate accidents and root causes, introduce, and supervise corrective actions
- Provide guidance on competency-based health and safety training for all persons throughout the organization
Your background
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of health and safety in project/customer sites and the role a safety system plays in managing the overall risk profile of a site
- Practical “hands-on” experience in developing and managing safety systems with the ability to dig into site-specific details and develop solutions to complex safety issues
- Knowledge about OSHA legislation for construction sites
- Working experience in Safety-related positions.
- Solutions-oriented personality with a strong engagement
- Knowledge of and belief in the 5 HOP principals
