IT Service Manager for Cyber Security

Hitachi Energy is seeking an IT Service Manager for Cyber Security. As an IT Service Manager, you will be the primary service representative and client point of contact. You are responsible for supplier & vendor management, with good knowledge around SoW/contracts, services budget & finances. Experience with SOC operations and incident response is critical for this role as is the ability to assess risk and report the status/progress to the leadership team. You should possess a deep understanding of security operations, compliance, mitigation, and analysis through available tools that detect advanced threats.

Your responsibilities

  • Act as the primary service representative and client point of contact
  • Identify and develop opportunities to provide new and expanded services
  • Maintain a solid understanding of Hitachi Energy’s culture, environment (people, process, technology), goals, and security initiatives and communication with internal clients
  • Identify and recommend operational improvements, drawing on SOC operational experience and industry specific knowledge of risks
  • Provide all necessary reporting and documentation to achieve BAU status
  • Responsible for on-time delivery of all in scope deliverables
  • Responsible for overall adherence and attainment of all defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Ensure documentation is maintained and provide final quality review
  • Manage any in scope solution projects (integration/ implementations)
  • Maintain/ update/ modify CDC KPIs and dashboards used for CDC reporting.
  • Prepare and deliver content for weekly/biweekly operational reports and operational status meetings
  • Prepare, produce, and deliver Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly reporting
  • Prepare, produce, and deliver any additional Executive reporting required
  • Manage communications with vendors, 3rd party service providers, and leadership Primary interface between all Hitachi Energy service leads for all in scope services (Vulnerability Management, Threat Hunting, Threat Management, SIEM)
  • Responsible for compliance with all Hitachi Energy security governance and controls
  • Maintain operational oversight of all ticketing activity including, but not limited to, security incidents, content development requests, tuning recommendations, hunting activities, and ad hoc requests
  • Oversee and manage on time and effective security content development, testing, and delivery
  • Responsible for maintaining financial forecast and communication of all financial changes, risks, or issues
  • Demonstrate ability to motivate teams in multiple geo-locations
  • Seek opportunities and offer guidance on how to improve Hitachi Energy service delivery methodology including owning and driving internal improvement initiatives
  • Adhere to internal operational security and other Hitachi Energy policies

Your background

  • Strong understanding of threat analysis and enterprise-level mitigation strategies
  • Knowledge of operating systems and networking technologies in general
  • Knowledge of cyber threats, defenses, motivations, and techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (spoken & written) skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in managing IT Security services/applications
  • Proactive and motivated by technical challenges, with a strong desire to deliver quality products/solutions on time
  • Experience in working in virtual, multicultural teams
