Hitachi Energy is seeking a Technical Project Management Lead for its Mount Pleasant, PA location. This role is responsible to lead & coordinate the Project Managers in Dead Tank Breaker product portfolio in North America market and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, financial targets as well as schedule commitments.

Your responsibilities

  • Identifying & communicating changes that may affect the projects scope or timeline
  • Supporting Project Managers in developing and maintaining project schedule and keeping it updated as the project progresses
  • Preparation of project specific risk and opportunities management plan
  • Coordination for Engineering drawing approvals
  • Coordination with Engineering and SCM to ensure orders are placed on time for sub supplier for material procurement
  • Review with SCM periodically on production plan of feeder factories and ensuring no slippages on production progress
  • Ensuring the payments are received on time for contracts executed in line with milestones and contractual terms
  • Main contact for customers in project, leading customer meetings and should be able to technically handle queries from customer.
  • Adhere to the project management processes in the organization
  • Ensure implementation and compliance of OHS group guidelines
  • Ensure Hitachi Energy integrity guidelines are followed in the team
  • Ensure IS security policy followed in the team
  • Acts as role model within organization.

Your background

  • Graduate in Electrical engineering with a minimum 8 years of experience.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Must have experience in leading team and in past handled or executed critical projects of high revenue
  • Project Management Certification is desirable
  • Should possess strong leadership skills and ability to convince stakeholders in the interest of the project.
  • Ability to work under pressure to deliver the projects with time, cost and quality.
