General information:
You as a Senior Project Controller will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will be reviewing of receivables, overdues and retentions; quarterly cash flow forecast; systematic focus on future billing. Supporting to all colleagues, providing analytics, driving actions and achieving budget KPIs.
Responsibilities:
Tendering stage: Reviewing and taking joint responsibility with Tendering Manager on financial, commercial and tax aspects. Ensuring that tendering calculation is done correctly, preparing cash-flow and exposure curve. Participating or providing input to negotiations on contractual terms and conditions. Participating and providing input in local risk review process. Project execution: Preparing a project financial execution plan (as part of an overall Project Execution Plan covering all financial, commercial and tax aspects such as permanent establishment, revenue recognition methods, billing plan, payment securities, consortium administration, import duties and VAT, etc.). Taking responsible for the correctness of project balance sheet and income statement as well as for cash flow and monthly/quarterly forecast. Preparing project invoices, managing currency risk, tax issues, bonds and guarantees, financial accounting and reporting (including project site accounting), drives and seeks for optimization of project cash flow, Revenues and GM contribution together with Project Director. Monitoring and review: Establishing project governance process. Participating in opportunity or risk identification, ensuring that all required mitigation actions are timely implemented. Driving, co-ordinating and preparing monthly project reviews jointly with the Project Manager. Reviewing and has joint responsibility with the Project Manager for all financial aspects of the project including estimate at completion and related cost-to-complete, forecasted revenues and cash flow, risks and opportunities assessment and ensure alignment with other functions including project controls, planning or scheduling. Commercial terms: Promoting commercial awareness in the project team and provides commercial input to the project execution plan such as T&Cs in supply management, claims, back-to-back conditions. Driving claim management, back-charges and insurance cases and monitors the proper follow up together with the Contract Manager or project manager upstream (towards customer), side-stream (towards consortia partner) as well as downstream (towards suppliers). Compliance & Internal Control: Following up on internal project audit reports and ensures timely implementation of all required actions related to projects under responsibility. Being responsible for adherence to: corporate governance, integrity, assurance, internal control, group charter, business specific finance directives and instructions. Organizing drives setup and closure of permanent establishment and branch offices where required for the project. Taking responsible jointly with the tax function for timely filing of financial/tax reports of project branches. People leadership and development: Supervising on a project basis project controllers - depending on the size and complexity of the project. Leading teams with a focus on operational planning and process development, typically, accountable for budget and policy recommendations and medium-term planning. Typically managing through first line managers mainly in function area. Focusing balances leadership and subject matter expertise. Your background:
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business administration. Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in Controlling and/or FP&A in international context. PMP Certification is must. Experience in interacting with process and business stakeholders at various levels, including executive managers and familiarity with general accounting and reporting processes. Strong understanding of end-to-end process, systems and data flows across organization at business and finance side. Proficient in IT systems & application: SAP (FI/CO), MS Office, Planning and Reporting tools and integrated solutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
