The Job:
The Production Manager will ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs and proper productivity level).
To be successful in this role you will:
Ensures compliance with Company and Factory health, safety and environmental directives and that regulations are implemented, while monitoring and reporting progress and results. Assesses risks and safety hazards and implements plans to ensure people and equipment safety.
Planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, cost targets, and quality standards.
Develops and executes plans to reduce non-value-added costs, increase revenues, and delight customers by delivering products on time with high factory and supplier yields and decreasing product field failure rates.
Ensures that quality & process improvement methodology training and methods are implemented into the organization.
Consulting with Engineering, Process Engineering, Supply Chain, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources. Planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions.
May provide support to Sales during customer visits to explain capabilities of the manufacturing facilities.
Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports and work group.
Setting goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
Prepares annual production budget, oversees progress, and determines actions to cost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree and 10 plus years of experience in manufacturing operations management.
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
Experience:
Lean Manufacturing training and implementation experience
Six Sigma training and certifications.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Ability to communicate complex concepts via presentations to senior level audiences.
Change Management experience.
Proven experience in developing teams.
