Control & Protection Design Engineer (Glasgow)

The opportunity

We believe HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) technology is a sustainable solution for energy transmission over long distances with minimal losses. It also helps stabilize power grids and is essential for offshore wind power and underwater transmissions.

As a Control & Protection Software Design Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you'll be part of a team responsible for automation systems and real-time control of plants and transmissions. We welcome both recent graduates and experienced engineers.

How you'll make an impact

  • Design, maintain, test, integrate, verify, and deploy HVDC control & protection applications.

  • Document and conduct customer training.

  • Travel internationally for assignments.

Your background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field.

  • Experience with HVDC projects and control system design/testing.

  • Strong interest in industrial application development and programming.

  • Fluency in English.
