General information:

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries. The FACTS technology uses a very high-end system for its control, protection and monitoring. This system is called as MACH. This computerized system is built with the state-of-the-art electronics, microprocessors and digital signal processors, connected by high performance industry standard busses and fiber optic communication links. They operate on very high standard application software developed by Hitachi Energy. As the system being continuously evolving, becoming more complex and customized, great deal of test & verification are required.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate the cyber security functionalities of product and improve the security posture. Participate in security testing of the product to ensure that the vulnerabilities are addressed before release. Perform product hardening, to allow only necessary function for products operation. Implementing and designing the layout for gateway security Installing and hardening of Firewall security Implementing group policies, account restrictions administration Installing, maintaining & trouble shooting servers, Routers and firewalls. Monitor and validate third party security patches to ensure that reliability of the system is maintained. Knowledge on Electrical power systems is desirable. Cybersecurity of industrial control systems (i.e. NERC CIP,BDEW, IEC 62443 3-2 & IEC 62443 3-3 , FISMA). Implement ICS hardening requirements. Implementing Host-based security technologies (Antivirus, Data Leakage Prevention, Host IPS, Whitelisting) Installation and/or management of network-based Intrusion Detection products. Implementing system backup technologies. Developing, evaluating, implementing Security Policy and Procedures Technical documentation and reports Customer Factory Acceptance Test Customer meetings Create automated script using. Bat/.Vbs/PowerShell/Perl and python to optimize the regular work and act efficiently in daily activities

Your background:

Bachelor Degree in ECE, IT, CSE, EEE, E&I 4- 7 years of operating experience in the OT Industrial Control System or computer networks Certification: Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security) / Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) / Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) / ISA99 or IC32-37 related OT certification Maintain Application Life Cycle management for patch Monitoring (Hardware's / Softwares / Servers and Workstations)
