Main Accountabilities:
Installation supervision of primary and Secondary equipment for FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission) projects. Handle Coordination with customers, vendors, Design Engineering teams, and consultants apart from regular site commissioning work.
Take complete responsibility for the FACTS Installation activities at the site and ensure the work is completed on time meeting all the quality and HSE standards.
Responsibilities:
Installation of FACTS equipment of 33 kV and above. This includes Thyristor & IGBT Valves systems, Valve Cooling systems, Switch gears, Capacitor banks, Reactors, CT / VT's, Protection & Control Systems, and other related equipment.
Supervise the activities handled by sub-contractors and ensure the activities are completed on time with the right quality following HSE standards.
Background:
Bachelor in Electrical & Electronics and/or Master in Power Electronics or Power Systems with 8+ years experience in a similar role
Hands on experience in Installation of Control and Protection cubicles, Electrical yard equipments, Power and control cables, Laying, termination and testing of fiber cable, installation of reactors & Capacitor filter units, distribution panels and switchgears is expected. Knowledge of Protection relays and Control System (SCMS / SCADA) will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of IEC, NEC standards and customer specific standards (SEC, DEWA, North America etc.,) for installation is preferred.
Should have good knowledge of OHSAS procedures and be able to handle HSE responsibility for his team at site.
