We are now looking for a Test Engineer to our Transformer Service Organization in Ludvika. In this role you will be responsible for testing materials, components and products primarily in mechanical, climatic, non-destructive and magnetic testing. Leading the entire process from initial customer contact to discussing and suggesting appropriate test procedures and throughout testing until delivery of test report.

How you’ll make an impact

  • You will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing testing methods and equipment for products, components, and processes to ensure conformity to established quality protocols and standards and/or customer requirements.

  • Make quotation calculation and test descriptions, and design innovative test fixtures.

  • Lead and execute tests independently and deliver comprehensive reports to customers.

  • Planning and arranging the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing. Set up the test area with parameters for sample testing and specify tests to be performed.

  • Compiling data and defining changes required to testing equipment, testing procedures, and processes.

  • You share Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means you take responsibility for your own actions while feeling responsible for your colleagues and business.

Your background

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably in mechanical engineering or similar

  • Proven work experience from similar roles as a test engineer.

  • As a person you are driven and have the ability to collaborate with different people and professional groups within the company. 

  • You are proactive, look for opportunities and take responsibility for the projects and the tasks you work on.

  • Fluency in both Swedish and English.

  • Prior experience in Hitachi Energy products is meritorious.
