Join Hitachi Energy as a Training & Development Leader at our Bland, VA location and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce. In this dynamic position, you’ll design and implement innovative training programs that empower employees, enhance organizational performance, and foster a culture of continuous learning. Collaborating closely with factory leadership and leveraging best practices from our North America Hub, you’ll ensure every team member has the tools and knowledge to thrive. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Design and deploy training programs that elevate workforce capability.
  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to identify training needs.
  • Lead and develop a team of Training Specialists.
  • Manage training resources, tools, and budgets effectively.
  • Maintain and optimize the Learning Management System for tracking and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement through KPIs and benchmarking best practices.
  • Partner with HR to enhance onboarding programs.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Training & Development, Educational Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience designing, administering, and evaluating training programs.
  • Skilled facilitator and coach with experience in workforce training.
  • Proficient in Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional training certification (e.g., CPTD, CPTM) is a plus.
  • Experience in a matrixed manufacturing environment and Lean principles preferred.
