R&D Engineer - FPGA Verification - IDC

This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification.  The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore. IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centers of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries. In the past 20 years, IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents.

Mission Statement:

As a FPGA verification Engineer for the HVDC MACH Control Platform, you shall ensure that the test activities listed below, but not limited to, are performed at highest level of efficiency and quality, to the utmost satisfaction of customers. You shall have good knowledge and experience in microprocessors, DSPs, FPGAs, and PCBs.

Your Responsibilities:

• Test Environment is to be created with the components of MACH Control System in the Test Lab Facility, with Computers, Servers, Input - Output Boards and Simulation Environments

• Write Test Cases / Scenarios for verifying the functionalities of the Control System for Analog and Digital Acquisition system.

• Execution of Test Cases, for various software and hardware releases using the developed test cases in the test lab.

• Report the test execution details to the development team for further actions.

• Responsibility to be involved and drive toward a solution for application issues or customer related issues.

• Responsibility to review technical descriptions, user documentation and make sure that the quality is granted.

Your Background:

• B.E (ECE/EEE) with 5+ years (Specialization in Embedded Design/ VLSI is a plus )

• Must have experience in VHDL or Verilog coding.

• Must have experience in building test bench for FPGA verification & debugging knowledge.

• Must have experience in simulation tools like modelsim, Questasim etc.

• Must have experience in System test with Xilinx FPGA devices with relevant tools.

• Must have experience in RTL (Register Transfer Logic) Verification.

• Experience in working on high-speed FPGA designs is plus.

• Experience in PCB board-level testing and system debugging is plus.

• Knowledge in any of the protocols like, Ethernet, PCIe, I2C is a plus.

• Knowledge on FPGA debugging tools such as chipscope oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer is a plus.

• Knowledge in digital circuits design is plus • Knowledge with Python programming is plus

• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
