In the role as Tender Manager Service Level Agreements (SLAs), you will be part of our Grid Automation Europe tendering team within the Hitachi Energy Group. The tendering organization is truly international and located in various locations across Europe. We operate in a dynamic and growing market and are now seeking to strengthen the team with experienced tendering professionals with home base in one of our office locations across the continent.

The SLA Tender Manager is responsible for managing the tender process for service level agreements, ensuring that all proposals are competitive, compliant, and aligned with customer requirements. This role emphasizes ownership and accountability for the quality and success of the delivered results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tender Preparation: Develop and prepare competitive tenders for service contracts, including retrofit solutions, plant extensions, upgrades, and site activities.
  • Customer Requirements: Review and analyze customer requirements, ensuring they are accurately integrated into offers and solution concepts.
  • Strategic Pricing: aligned with Service Sales, define and support strategic pricing policies, ensuring value-based pricing and effective price realization.
  • Ownership of Tender Process: Take full ownership and accountability of the tender preparation process until the contract is awarded.
  • Cost Calculations: Prepare detailed cost calculations, integrating supplier quotations and considering technical and commercial aspects.
  • Risk Management: Conduct tender and risk reviews, ensuring all potential risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Documentation: Ensure all proposals are well-documented and submitted in a timely manner, securing necessary technical and commercial support.
  • Resource Coordination: Coordinate and allocate internal and external resources for proposal preparation, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to clarify requirements and provide support during the tender process, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve tender processes and documentation to enhance efficiency and quality.

Your background:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in tendering and commercial processes, preferably in a service-related industry.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of substation automation, control & protection, and mission-critical communication solutions is a plus.
  • Accountability: Demonstrates a high level of ownership and accountability for the quality and success of delivered results.
  • Leadership: Sets an example for team members in commitment, work ethics, and personal character. Be a Team Player.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer orientation with the ability to understand and meet customer needs effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in all tender documents.
  • Language skills: Fluency in the local language of the desired job location plus a good level of English is required.
