Project Commissioning and Construction Manager


General Information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Project Construction & Commissioning Manager (PCCM) for its new projects. The scope of the PCCM is to manage and drive Construction and Commissioning processes and activities related to project scope. The PCCM is located offshore supporting the accomplishment of the site execution and the management of the site which is performed by the site manager.

The PCCM is part of a multinational team of 30 with responsibility for all HVDC new projects globally.

Your responsibilities:

  • The responsibility of the PCCM is to manage and drive Construction and Commissioning processes and activities related to project scope of the HVDC station
  • Coordinate and lead handover process from Tendering reviewing Construction and Commissioning scope, schedule and budget, including risk and opportunities. Organize and conduct Kick Off meeting for the C&C Team
  • Project execution- and constructability-strategy
  • Plan, monitor and report the overall construction execution progress, cost and man loading forecast on regular basis
  • Develop and plan temporary and permanent infrastructure together with the Site Manager
  • Reporting progress and actual information to the Project Director and to the C&C management department, in conjunction with the Site Manager.
  • Coordinate and execute subcontracts with Subcontracts Development and Delivery Manager

Your background:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil-, Mechanical-, or Electrical-Engineering
  • 5 years of project management experience in HVDC projects or similar e.g. Power Generation, Oil & Gas or Automation Industry
  • Ready to work in an international and multicultural work environment
  • Fluent English
  • Great communication skills
  • We are looking for engaged, structured, persistent, well-organized, and driven person who is a true team player
  • Flexibility and an open mindset are important features to be successful in this role
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
