Global Indirect Tax Manager

We are looking for an experienced and passionate team player to join our global tax team. You will be an integral part of Indirect tax strategy and process optimization, ensure indirect tax compliance globally, and proactively contribute to the challenges of our global company. Focusing on business expansion and international supply chain management, you will act as a strategic advisor to our teams and educate them on indirect tax compliance subjects and process automation. Together with the Global Indirect Tax lead and the rest of the tax team globally, the team will define how we do global taxes.

Your Mission:

• Design an effective strategy for future indirect tax function

• Cooperate with various stakeholders for global indirect tax compliance optimization

• Work with tax managers and external advisors globally in relation to complex projects or global contracts.

• Maximize the benefit of technology already put in place (S4 Hana and Vertex) as well as explore further tax technology opportunities. 

• Be a strong functional lead and share your expertise with your team & relevant stakeholders to build Company’s indirect tax culture

• Identify cross tax functional issues and opportunities and work other streams of tax

Your Story:

• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in an international auditing firm, a tax consulting firm or a multinational company (mix of both preferred)

• Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or Law, with special focus on taxation

• Solid understanding of EU VAT Directive and its practical application

• Willingness and ability to take ownership of project related tasks, including indirect tax compliance optimization.

• Willingness to work outside of comfort zone with support

• Proven ability to adapt to changes, dig into technical details and translate complex technical issues to non-experts

• High affinity for processes and IT systems, including the ability to dig deep into the numbers

• Ideally experience of implementing tax processes and solutions, ideally in SAP S/4 HANA and Vertex

• Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving skills

• Fluency in English
