Hitachi Energy is seeking an Intern Process Engineer Maintenance for its Jefferson City, MO location. The Hitachi Energy location in Jefferson City, MO is a premier designer and manufacturer of distribution transformers for the electrical grid, commercial data centers, industrial facilities, wind & solar alternative energy sources.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Job assignments are primarily designed to give students the opportunity to work on projects. Projects that improve maintenance processes that support manufacturing and equipment uptime Participate and support kaizen events & other improvement projects. Tool Crib inventory and spare equipment parts project. PM Program continuous improvement project. Other projects as assigned.
  •  Lead the maintenance department in implementing TPM (total productive maintenance) tools and strategies including preventative maintenance, kaizen, 5S, and standard work
  •  Learn root cause problem solving strategies and assist in leading and coaching others in the department
  •  Participate in base condition and other kaizen events to learn the mechanics of the machinery
  •  Lead the implementation of business processes and tools

Your Background:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program.
  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States Pursuing a degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Currently enrolled in an accredited university program in the US
  •  Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineer
  •  Desire to work in manufacturing environment
  •  Appreciate hands-on and working directly with those maintaining and repairing production and facilities machinery.
