As a Secondary (electrical) engineer, you play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems across various applications and projects. Your expertise ensures the safe and efficient operation of electrical components. As an experienced professional, you apply practical knowledge gained through advanced education and work experience.

Your responsibilities

  • You will act as a role model for the behavior required to support a quality and continuous improvement and collaborate with design teams to create electrical solutions for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
  • You will ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical engineering codes, along with proper cable routing and connection points, and validate protection and control schemes.
  • Select appropriate equipment, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and protection relays.
  • You will work closely with construction teams during substation or facility development.
  • Oversee the installation of switchgear, control panels, and other electrical components
  • Conduct functional tests to verify the reliability and safety of electrical systems.
  • You will collaborate with testing teams to ensure seamless integration and adhere to local regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare accurate as-built drawings reflecting the actual installation along with facilitating the handover process to utility operators.

Your background

  • You have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or something similar.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • Work independently with general supervision.
  • Influence others within the field by explaining facts, policies, and best practices.
  • You combine technical expertise with practical application to contribute to the success of electrical projects.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch knowledge is a definite asset.
