Carry out service installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair work and other service-related activities on medium and large power transformers.
Exceeding customer expectations by understanding and anticipating current and potential needs.
Uses a great deal of analytical skills and makes decisions on complex and technical issues.
Perform tasks requiring the ability to read and work from applicable electrical and mechanical drawings, and/or instruction and technical manuals.
Uses computers and internal/external computer software to set up functions, enter data or process information related to site visits.
Perform applicable internal work such as bushing connections, lead clearance, tapping, crimping, taping, contoured joints, etc.
Suggesting product and process improvements within the business to enhance operations and customer service.
Ensure all site work is performed to meet proper safety requirements.

Repair, re-gasket, assemble and disassemble equipment as directed. With direction, perform activities requiring use of all applicable mechanical hand tools.
Participates in department administrative tasks.

Participates in technical training.
Prepare technical reports following site work.
With Direction Operate and maintain Vacuum Oil Processors (VOP’s) and oil handling equipment. Complete vacuum oil processing logs.
Have a strong understanding of the theory of operation and construction of transformers.
