The Opportunity

The High Voltage Products division of Hitachi Energy is globally recognized as a specialist in power transmission and distribution systems. At our Zurich-Oerlikon location, we develop and manufacture gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy. Using state-of-the-art development tools and methods, we ensure the high reliability of our switchgear systems.

How you'll make an impact

• Redesign and further development of handling tools for assembling GIS units and fields within the factory

• Definition and implementation of standards, documentation, best practices, and procedures for all new and existing products to ensure the required quality and productivity

• Analysis of key performance indicators to derive actions for improvement.

• Training and certification of production employees

• Further development of assembly processes and related equipment with a focus on improving quality and productivity
