We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business' DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors. How you’ll make an impact
1. You will see how your personal efforts are converted to real product improvements, impacting evolution of electrical grids, making it more green, reliable, and resilient and will participate in development and maintenance of MACH products in Valve Electronics domain, making them even more reliable and robust, influencing HVDC technology of Hitachi Energy.
2. You will share your competence with the organization, making our product development process more efficient, driving improvements in our documentation, design and testing infrastructure to make it adequate for current and future needs and will contribute to the full lifecycle of hardware platform for Control & Protection system, from ideas, requirements, simulations, prototyping, testing up to release & sustaining production.
3. You will do tests planning, designing of product verification and validation specifications and test systems based on initial requirements, improving technology based on your knowledge and experience and will do product prototyping, design validation and testing, development and support of local verification infrastructure and setups.
4. You will prepare and manage technical documentation of products, like test specifications, test instructions, and participate in technical reviews and project planning and will drive product validation reviews, leading validations and verification processes and tools improvement activities.
5. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
1. You hold a bachelor's or master degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field.
2. At least 5 years professional experience in hardware design and product verification & validation of analogue and digital circuits, including design for quality and reliability (DFMEA, MTBF, etc), CAD tools (e.g. Altium, Zuken CADSTAR, PADS, etc), simulations (SPICE, Ansys, SIMetrix, etc).
3. Experience in practical Power Electronics – industry proven topologies, modern semiconductor components and magnetics, low power, 1kV and above.
4. Understanding of EMC principles, Power Integrity and management and experience with laboratory test and measurement equipment, circuit boards testing and reworking, metrology fundamentals. Understanding electronic circuit boards manufacturing process (PCB, PCBA, DFM, etc).
5. Experience with laboratory equipment and circuit boards testing and measurements practice, soldering and a high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies. A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and good communication skills.
6. It would be advantage to have background experience in: Power supply, Opto-electronics components, optics, fibers, Control loop and systems, Digital design and digital signal processing, FPGA and MCU fundamentals, Experience with Test and Measuring automation tools (VISA, Python, LabView), Basic principles of C/C++ or VHDL language, Understanding mechanical documentation.
7. English can be used as working language and strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
