Design Platform Domain Expert Manager (f/m/d)

The opportunity
 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design platform’s domain Expert Manager to lead our team of Domain Experts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely preparation of specifications for programmers according to backlog priorities, eliminating roadblocks, and supporting effort definition during the prioritization process.

This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our design platform by fostering collaboration across departments, improving communication flows, and ensuring that technical specifications are well understood and effectively implemented. The role requires someone who is comfortable engaging with engineers, R&D specialists, and software developers, and who can confidently navigate technical discussions across multiple domains.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead and develop a growing team of Domain Experts responsible for design platform specifications

  • Ensure that specifications are prepared in a timely manner and aligned with backlog priorities

  • Act as a key liaison between R&D, engineering, and programming teams to ensure mutual understanding

  • Identify and remove roadblocks that hinder progress, escalating issues when necessary

  • Support the effort estimation process during prioritization and planning phases

  • Facilitate communication between programmers and Domain Experts to ensure clarity on design tool requirements

  • Represent the team in R&D program management meetings and contribute to strategic discussions

  • Promote a culture of proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement
     

Your background

  • Master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering

  • Proven experience in leading technical teams or subject matter experts, ideally in transformer design

  • Strong understanding of transformer design processes and related design tools

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage technical specifications in collaboration with R&D

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and drive timely, high-quality execution
