Junior Project Engineer 80 – 100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Project Manager Primary Engineering to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical planning and execution of gas-insulated switchgear projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

How you will make an impact

• Technical detailing of the high voltage part of gas-insulated switchgear in customer projects, including preparation of all documents for order, fabrication, assembly and customers

• Discussion of technical solutions with customers and internal stakeholders

• Planning and managing an engineering part in customer projects, including costs, deadlines and scope of delivery

• Ordering of material including configuration of the material

• Management of technical communication channels internally as well as externally

• Detailed elaboration of quality cases and improvement processes

• Technical support of the project until completion of on-site assembly

• Occasional travel to customer meetings or site visits

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience in project engineering, ideally with gas-insulated switchgear or in a similar field in high-voltage

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. Creo, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools and experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications

• Familiar with supporting various project phases, including production, transportation, installation, and testing

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and escalate issues

• Experience in coordinating resources, including materials and equipment

• Ability to work effectively within an international team environment and collaborate with other departments

• Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages (e.g. German, Spanish or French) is a plus
