The Opportunity

Manufacturing Quality Assurance work includes Defining and specifying activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for manufactured material, component, or product. Building and maintaining the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products. Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards. Reporting and troubleshooting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiency: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

How you’ll make an impact

  • To perform Quality checks as derived in Quality Inspection card for stages of fabrication items like yoke clamp, tank and its accessories at sub vendor end.
  • Raise nonconformance observed during inspection stages. Coordinate with responsible department for Root cause & CAPA.
  • Arrange periodic NCR review meeting with tank vendors.
  • Certified Internal auditor for ISO9001:2015, NDT_LEVEL_II PT. (ASNT-SNT-TC-1A).
  • Responsible and lead customer stage inspections as per Manufacturing Quality Plans (MQP) for tank and its accessories.
  • Coordinate with factory in process QA team to resolve any nonconformance reported for tank and its accessories.
  • Close cooperating with other functions in Hitachi Energy (Production, SCM, Engineering etc.).
  • Report & Follow up Cost of Poor Quality within the function.
  • Coordinate improvement projects which are derived from Cost of Poor Quality & NCRs.
  • Supporting initiatives and audits launched by Group function / Division on Sustainability, Material compliance, Integrity and Health, Environment and Safety.
  • Coordination of customer audit & follow up the actions.
  • Planning and Performing Quality Management System Audits, Global Quality Assessment & Customer Audits.
  • Follow up of NCRs & Coordinate Root Cause Analysis (8D etc.) and define the action w/ related team which come from internal audits, customer audits, during manufacturing or customer claims (CCRP).
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Candidate should hold a degree in BE Mechanical with relevant work experience of BE: 04 to 06 years’ experience or Diploma: 08-10years.
  • Experience in fabrication preferred Transformer tank fabrication experience in Quality.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
