Senior Service Sales Specialist  (Substation Automation Systems)


As a Service Sales Specialist at Hitachi Energy, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our service offerings by identifying customer needs, developing tailored solutions, and achieving sales targets within protection, automation and communication service portfolio. This role focuses on building strong client relationships and expanding automation and communication service footprint.

How you’ll make an impact:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories and target markets for automation and communication service portfolio.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed individual and team sales quotas for service contracts, maintenance agreements, professional services, and other service-related solutions.
 - Conduct comprehensive needs assessments with potential and existing clients to understand their challenges and align Hitachi Energy service offerings as optimal solutions.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to prospective customers.
 - Negotiate contract terms and conditions to secure profitable service agreements.
 - Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecast accuracy using CRM tools.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., technical support, project management, product development) to ensure seamless service delivery and address customer concerns.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands related to service offerings.
 - Provide feedback to product and service development teams based on customer insights and market intelligence.


Your background:
- Highly preferred knowledge in area of protection relays and control systems.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in service sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the technology, industrial, or manufacturing sectors.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline management and reporting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on understanding customer needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, Self-motivated, results-oriented, and highly organized.
- Ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
