Business Process and BIM Quality Manager

The Opportunity

Are you ready to shape the future of energy?

At Hitachi Energy, we’re building the ES Regional Office (ESOPC) in Madrid as part of our Grid & Power Quality Solutions business in Europe (HBUEU). This is a chance to join a team that is driving innovation in power systems, making them more efficient, stable, and sustainable for generations to come.

The Business Process and BIM Quality Manager will play a key role in connecting BIM activities with the company’s broader EPC and quality frameworks. The mission is to ensure that BIM-related processes, specifications, and documentation are clearly defined, aligned with Hitachi Energy standards, and effectively embedded into daily operations. Working closely with the BIM global team, Project Quality Managers (PQMs), and other stakeholders, you will drive process integration, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration.

This is an opportunity to shape how BIM is embedded across Hitachi Energy projects, bridging quality, tendering, engineering, SCM, site, and digitalization.

How you'll make an impact

  • Understand existing Hitachi Energy project and quality processes and identify connections to BIM workflows.

  • Develop, standardize, and maintain BIM process documentation, ensuring alignment with corporate procedures and quality requirements.

  • Define and manage the integration of BIM processes with other functions (Engineering, Project Management, Quality, SCM, and Site) in collaboration with the BIM core team.

  • Develop specifications, templates, guidelines, and work instructions.

  • Lead change management activities, including organizing and facilitating workshops, and coordinating process updates.

  • Analyze data and manage KPIs through Power BI.

  • Ensure consistency and traceability of information across functions.

  • Use 3D models, Revit, and BIM platforms to support process mapping and improvements.

  • Contribute to digital transformation initiatives and promote best practices across the organization.

Your background

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or similar.

  • 8–12 years of experience in EPC projects or large engineering environments.

  • Experience in process management and quality system documentation.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with Power BI or similar tools.

  • Solid understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

  • Practical experience using BIM platforms.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills in a multicultural, matrix environment.

  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
