Developing and integrating offshore wind - Panel Discussion

Offshore wind is a key pillar in the European strategy to fulfill the targets set for decarbonization of the energy sector. Now, more than ever, with the COVID-19 pandemic still raging around the globe, the announced European Recovery Plan and the Green Deal are essential mechanisms to drive the development of offshore wind and its integration in the European power system.

Join us in this virtual panel discussion to hear from and discuss with the industry leaders and experts what are the key aspects we need to consider when developing the offshore wind and associated grid infrastructure that will deliver on the European ambitions. The acceleration of the offshore wind development – using the existing offshore interconnectors, and through the realization of the offshore grids – considering both regulatory and technical aspects like interoperability between HVDC solutions and the barriers to realizing a meshed and mixed HVAC and HVDC grid takes the center stage in the discussions. The aspects of timing and alignment of developments across Europe will also be addressed
