R&D Control Engineer - India Development Centre

Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D engineers, specialists, and experts, who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions, new products and technology. This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore. IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centres of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries. In the past 20 years, IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated engineer to join our team of R&D Engineers. A person interested in the field of power electronic converters and contribute towards global R&D projects.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • You will contribute in development of control/Protection software in MACH control platform.
  • For Documentations for control software like concept documents, test reports and other supporting documents part of development.
  • To have experience in control software design experience in MACH or other control platforms (PLC,DCS) based on IEC 61131-3.
  • To have knowledge of communication protocols such as IEC 61850 , DNP3, IEC101/104, and OPC UA.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:

  • Required bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering with at least 5 years of experience with power converter control system , power management system or energy control systems design.
  • Proficiency in the use of simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink would be an advantage.
  • Team spirit with the capacity to work independently, complemented by a quick intellect and well-developed analytical skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile development team would be an advantage.
  • Eagerness for learning and innovation, the readiness of mind for the use of various new tools for developments tasks but also for collaborating with the team efficiently.
  • You like to work in multicultural/international environment.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
