The opportunity

As a Digital Twin Software Engineer, you will play a hands-on technical role in the delivery and deployment of IdentiQ digital twin solutions for HVDC projects.

You will focus on configuring, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting edge and cloud-based systems, ensuring that data flows reliably from industrial devices to cloud services and visualization layers. This role is well suited for engineers who enjoy working close to the technology, during factory testing, commissioning, and early operational phases—and who are comfortable debugging complex systems across IT/OT boundaries.

You will collaborate closely with project managers, system engineers, product teams, and customers, contributing both technical expertise and practical problem-solving skills.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Configure and deploy digital twin solutions, including edge devices, gateways, and cloud services.
  • Perform system integration, factory system testing (FST), and support site commissioning activities.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues across networking, operating systems, applications, and data pipelines.
  • Work with industrial data sources (e.g. SCADA, protection and control systems, sensors) to enable secure and reliable data ingestion.
  • Configure and validate communication using industrial and IT protocols (e.g. OPC UA, MQTT, REST, IEC 61850).
  • Develop scripts, tools, or configuration templates to improve deployment efficiency and reliability. Document system configurations, test results, and operational procedures.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial software, IoT, automation, or edge-to-cloud system delivery.
  • Strong practical experience with Linux systems (command line, services, logs, networking tools).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and SaaS-based architectures, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) or edge orchestration platforms.
  •  Experience with software development or scripting (e.g. Python, Bash, Java, C#, or similar)
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, distributed systems involving hardware, software, and networks.
