PSC FP&A Controlling & Planning Analyst

The Opportunity:

 

In this role, you will be part of the Controlling Capability Center (CCC) organization but will be working closely with the Global R&D Business controller for the Product Group Grid and Power Quality Solutions and Service, which is part of the business unit Grid Integration. Together with the R&D business controller, you will be an integral part in implementing and operating centralized and effective controlling processes that will enable accurate reporting, forecasting and financial performance insights.

How you’ll make an impact:

 

  • To take over, standardize, document and manage R&D reporting currently performed by geographically distributed businesses.
  • To Understand and analyze the relevant drivers of financial performance and identify trends. Validate accuracy and quality of financial data and reporting and take corrective actions if necessary
  • To Manage function accruals and corrections of financial statements as and when required. Prepare financial analysis (e.g. related to cost, absorption, investments) and help define formats to effectively convey relevant insights.
  • You will be reviewing financial baseline with relevant stakeholders on recurring basis. Support budget and forecast processes through communication with various stakeholders within department and finance teams.
  • To investigate and assess project performance against plan and involve relevant key stake holders to understand and address deviations where necessary. Ensure that reporting and controlling are conducted in accordance with company policies, regulations and internal controls.
  • You will be monitoring master data, management and project creations as required. Manage occasional Ad Hoc work/assignment/job not listed above. Further areas of responsibility might be added as function develops and matures.
  • While growing into the role, you are also expected to provide input, insights and know-how on how to improve accuracy, timeliness and automation of relevant financial processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

 

  • Should have bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting or business administration with prior work experience from financial controlling and/or accounting.
  • Must have 4 to 6 -year experience in Financial Planning and Analysis function, R&D Controlling and working in GCC set up would be preferable.
  • Initiative-taking with strong commitment to quality and set deadlines. Ability to consider financial processes and data flows from a holistic perspective.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy. Good problem solving, analytical skills, ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Prior exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems. Proficiency in MS Office Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Prior relevant work experience from Experience from controlling in ABB/Hitachi or similar industrial company. And prior work experience from controlling in an R&D setting
  • Experience from project controlling. Experience from automation of data processing and power BI
  • Strong communication skills are essential
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
