Manufacturing Production Entry Professional

The Opportunity

Assists with managing various production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.) including: Planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards. Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources. Planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions.  Responsibilities may include : Working under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations. Training, delegating and reviewing the work of lower-level employees. Problems are typically difficult and non-routine but not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Executes the assigned work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with Hitachi standard processes and safety guidelines.
  • Disconnector installation as per manuals and perform factory acceptance test as per factory ITP with customer
  • Setting daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicating to the employees (blue collar/white collar/contract).
  • Carries out routine set-up and adjustments as well as simple repairs and fits simple replacement parts.
  • The job may include regular standard maintenance of the equipment, set up of tools and programming.
  • Collaborate within Team to ensure timely execution as per Manufacturing Plan.
  • Ensure micro level planning of each workstation for better execution of Manufacturing plan.
  • Ability to influence without authority across departments and management levels
  • Preparing KPI reports on performance and progress and Identify gaps in efficiency to work on improvements.
  • Organizes and allocates resources to effectively and efficiently meet line production targets.  Responds to resource issues as necessary.  Leads capacity planning and resource optimization for the assigned unit or line.
  • Ensures that production scheduling and production plan meets the volume requirements agreed in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels.
  • Identifies and recommends technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.
  • Ensures execution of volume, conforming product, and on-time delivery targets for the assigned production lines.
  • identifies deficiencies in production area, proposes improvement activities, and oversees implementation of actions to improve production performance.
  • Manages the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.
  • Supervises a team of employees in the execution of tasks for an assigned area of responsibility. Ensures coordination of appropriate work assignments for assigned area.  Typically, responsible for performance reviews for team members.
  • To plan the supplier manufacturing activities as per demand. Timely Initiate/closure of commercial activities with the help of GBS team.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Diploma or BE in Electrical/Mechanical.
  • 4 to 6 years' experience in supervision activities of manufacturing of transformers / any other similar product
  • Operates within standard operating procedures and maintains a clean work area.
  • Conducts shop floor operation in compliance with health & safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance.
  • Disconnector/breaker installation knowledge is must and preferable
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
  • People management and interpersonal skill
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
