The opportunity:
Support the Factory SCM Manager in ensuring implementation and adherence to SCM strategies, processes and follow up in the factories to ensure material availability, delivery performance and cost competitiveness. Support management of assigned spending with a short term and medium-term sourcing strategy to meet targets on total cost of ownership, quality, and reliability of supplies. Collaborate with factory and HUB stakeholders to support the undertakings, project implementation.
 

How you’ll make an impact:

  • You will support the Factory SCM on assigned tasks also support in liaison to Planning & Fulfillment team in the ERP data management under SCM responsibility: i.e. supplier contact details, allocation plan, prices, lead time, MOQ, Incoterms, payment terms.

  • You will support material price and Terms & Conditions control throughout the value chain (from tender, ERP master data and oversee invoices control rules (tolerances, etc.) also measure gaps tender/actuals investigate on root causes and take adequate corrective/preventive measures and support tender material costing and run tender specific negotiations where applicable.

  • You act promptly on assigned issues escalated according to escalation matrix, support on analysis and reporting tasks.

  • You will lead and/or support company and contractors’ qualifications processes on assigned suppliers, support Supplier Performance Evaluations (SPE) on assigned tasks and work on improving assigned supplier performance measurement and improvement tasks.

  • Support on assigned claim management to maximize compensation to Hitachi Energy and escalate as necessary.

  • You will support Factory SCM in material cost cutting and risk mitigation projects, preferably using Dynamic Evolution methodology and support on SCM related local activities for R&D, DTV, New Product Introduction, product cost improvement projects. Support technology transfer projects and other agreed improvement measures. Support makes vs buy studies and run SCM implementation.

  • You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in any related field. Electrical or Industrial Engineering will be advantage.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply chain management/ Sourcing Engineer/Purchasing Engineer or related fields

  • Strong Negotiation and good cooperation with internal and external team.

  • Computer skill in any ERP or SAP. Advance-Excel will be advantage

  • Good command of English communication.
