The Opportunity

In this role you will be part of Hitachi Energy's Cooling Systems business unit in Landskrona. We have global responsibility for the development and manufacture of cooling systems for power electronic applications and other applications that require cooling systems with high reliability and availability. Our cooling systems contribute to safe and reliable operation, with a focus on the customer and the environment.

Our department specializes in the development and production of a variety of cooling systems. We offer several types of cooling systems with different media and have delivered approximately 850 small to medium-sized systems just in the past year. Our team consists of 12 dedicated employees who work in development, projects, and maintenance. Together, we create a positive and enjoyable work environment that fosters creativity and collaboration.

We are now looking for a Product Developer who will be responsible for ensuring that our standard products are up-to-date and functioning optimally. You will maintain continuous dialogue with production, procurement, and colleagues, as well as handle customer inquiries about our products.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Ensure that our standard products are up-to-date and functioning optimally

  • Maintain continuous dialogue with production, procurement, and colleagues to ensure smooth processes

  • Use CAD and SAP to create and update drawings and manage product data

  • Maintain and improve our developed products to ensure high quality and performance

  • Handle customer inquiries and provide technical support to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Plan your own time and take responsibility for achieving your goals and deadlines

Your background
 

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Product Developer, or equivalent

  • Higher education in engineering, such as Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience working with CAD tools, preferably SolidEdge.

  • Experience with SAP is a plus

  • You are a good communicator, able to collaborate with different departments, possess problem-solving skills, and maintain a positive attitude

  • Proficiency in English is required, Swedish language skills are a significant bonus
