Join our Northern Europe HUB Payroll team and play a key role in delivering a seamless payroll experience in a dynamic, fast-paced shared services environment. This opportunity is a 6 month Fixed Term Payroll Specialist position. You will support the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across the UK and Ireland, working closely with an outsourced payroll provider and collaborating with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent and reliable process.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring payroll accuracy from onboarding through to offboarding. A strong focus on collaboration, service excellence, and continuous improvement makes this a highly visible and impactful position.

You will be part of a supportive and evolving environment where ideas are valued and improvements are encouraged. With exposure to regional processes and cross-functional teams, this role provides the chance to strengthen technical capability, build stakeholder relationships, and make a meaningful contribution to the employee experience. For those who are detail-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused, this is an opportunity to grow and develop within a global organisation.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing with the Payroll Partner, ensuring all inputs are accurate and submitted on time

  • Build strong understanding of how inputs impact pay outcomes (e.g. salary, deductions, tax, statutory payments)
  • Partner with HR to ensure accurate payroll processing across employee lifecycle events (starters, changes, leavers)
  • Maintain robust payroll controls and ensure compliance with internal policies, audit standards, and legislation
  • Manage payroll queries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
  • Support payroll reporting, audits, and documentation requirements
  • Identify and drive continuous improvements across payroll and broader HR processes

Your background:

  • Proven experience in payroll within shared services or outsourced environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of UK and Ireland payroll processes and legislation.
  • Solid understanding of payroll reconciliations, controls, and audits.
  • Experience working with external payroll providers.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Workday and ServiceNow would be advantageous
