The opportunity

We are looking for an engaged, people-focused and technically curious Team Manager for our Valve Electrical Design team within HVDC in Sweden.

In this role, you will lead a team responsible for the detailed electrical design of Optical current transformers (OCT) and related equipment used in HVDC and SVC applications. You will play an important part in shaping both the technical delivery and the team’s long-term development.

You will join a global organization where collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement are key. The Valve Electrical Design organization currently includes around 80 colleagues across Sweden, India, and China, and we are in an exciting phase of growth and transformation.

As a Team Manager, you will be part of the Valves management team and report to the Head of Valve Electrical Design.

The location for this role is in Ludvika where moste of the team works.

Your background

We believe you could be a great fit if you:

  • Have an engineering background (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) or equivalent experience
  • Bring experience from electrical design, product development, or similar technical areas
  • Have experience leading teams, projects, or technical initiatives.
  • Are interested in supporting and developing people, and enjoy teamwork and collaboration
  • Are structured and able to create clarity, helping your team prioritize and succeed
  • Communicate clearly and enjoy working with different stakeholders
  • Are fluent in English; Swedish is a plus
