The opportunity

Help electrify a sustainable future. At Hitachi Energy, you’ll lead the North America (NAM) BIM function that accelerates grid modernization—connecting renewable generation, strengthening transmission and distribution, and enabling resilient substations with model-based delivery. In this role, you’ll champion ISO 19650-aligned workflows, orchestrate multi-disciplinary models, and turn data into decisions across the project lifecycle—from tendering to handover and service.

You’ll partner with engineering, projects, and product teams to implement BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), streamline clash detection, and integrate models into our digital twin solutions for transparent progress tracking and performance insights. Using Autodesk tools (BIM 360, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD), you will standardize information flows, build repeatable processes, and coach teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective outcomes.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead the NAM BIM team and elevate skills, processes, and performance.

  • Define and deploy BIM Execution Plans across diverse grid projects.

  • Coordinate model federation, clash detection, and issue resolution.

  • Standardize data structures and naming aligned to ISO 19650.

  • Integrate BIM outputs with digital twin dashboards and KPIs.

  • Deliver Pre‑BEPs and time estimates during tendering.

  • Coach internal teams and partners on BIM tools and best practices.

  • Drive continuous improvement and evaluate new BIM technologies.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Minimum Associate Degree in Engineering Drafting/CAD and 8 years of related experience.

  • 5+ years leading BIM coordination and applying BIM methodologies on AEC/power projects.

  • 2+ years as a people manager for BIM/CAD teams.

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks; expertise in BIM and data coordination.

  • Working knowledge of ISO 19650 standards (certification is a plus).

  • Strong communication, leadership, and multi‑project time management skills.

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
