Hitachi Energy Power Up Master Student Program

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Power Up is a two-year program that is given to ten to twelve master's students at KTH and Uppsala University, respectively. The program is given as a scholarship and serves as an add-on (or a power up) to the student's ongoing studies at the master's level. Within the program, a variety of events and activities are given:

  • Study visits to factory, office and site
  • Group work with problem solving
  • Social Events
  • Events preparing for working life

The majority of all events and activities will be carried out in Ludvika or Västerås. Travel and possible accommodation are included in the program. The students who complete the program and follows Hitachi Energy's Code of Conduct are given opportunities for summer jobs, master thesis projects, bonuses and diplomas.

The programme is part of Hitachi Energy's partnership with KTH and Uppsala University but is independent of the degree programmes.

Hitachi Energy Power Up is designed in such way that the students can continue with their regular studies in parallel without any problems.

How you’ll make an impact

As icing on the cake, the program aims to boost students' final year at university, to give them a unique opportunity to get to know the electric power industry from the inside, and start building their network even before graduating from university. Through the program, the student becomes part of the Hitachi Energy community and has the opportunity to take part in the large network it entails.
