R&D Senior Engineer Switchgear Monitoring & Automation 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity


Join our Technology Center and play a key role in the development of a next-generation monitoring platform for high-voltage switchgear applications. In this position, you will act as the technical lead for a multidisciplinary product development project, defining system requirements and architecture while collaborating with global R&D teams and external engineering partners.

You will work in an international environment, partnering with colleagues across Switzerland, Sweden, and Asia, as well as with external development teams to deliver innovative embedded monitoring solutions.


How you'll make an impact


  • Define system requirements for new monitoring products
  • Create product architectures for embedded platforms
  • Evaluate technologies and recommend technical solutions
  • Lead technical activities across hardware, firmware, and software teams
  • Collaborate with external development partners and internal experts
  • Drive system integration, validation, and testing activities
  • Support cybersecurity and data protection requirements
  • Act as the technical counterpart to the Project Manager

Your background


  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Engineering, or similar
  • Several years of experience in embedded product development
  • Experience with requirements engineering and system architecture
  • Knowledge of electronics, firmware, software, integration, and testing
  • Experience working in international R&D environments
  • Strong communication skills and fluent English
