Hitachi Energy and Fingrid partner to enhance Finnish grid development with large power transformers

This contract marks an important milestone for our new facility, Hitachi Energy Park, launching large-scale power transformer production that also significantly supports Finland's energy security. By expanding our capabilities to include large power transformers and reactors, we are directly addressing the increasing demands of our customers as the energy system undergoes a historic transformation towards electrification. It is particularly gratifying to deliver the first large power transformers of this range from our new production line to Fingrid, a partner with whom we have collaborated closely for decades.

Our investments in the transmission grid are at a historically high level, and large power transformers play a key role in enabling industrial electrification and new customer connections.
