The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services.  Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact

1. You will assist senior engineers in the design and drafting of mechanical components and assemblies for transformers using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).

2. You will conduct basic engineering calculations and simulations under guidance to evaluate design performance and feasibility also prepare and update technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
3. You will participate in design reviews and contribute to problem-solving discussions and support the fabrication and testing phases of prototypes by providing technical assistance and gathering data.

4. You will research and apply industry standards and best practices related to mechanical design and transformer manufacturing also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and manufacturing engineers, to ensure design integration and manufacturability.

5. You will perform other duties as assigned to support the engineering department.

6. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1. You can be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

2. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, including statics, dynamics, and materials science.

3. Proficiency in at least one CAD software package (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).

4. Basic knowledge of engineering analysis tools is a plus and excellent in problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

5. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

6. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.

7. Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
