At Hitachi Energy, our purpose is advancing a sustainable energy future for all. We are looking for an organized and customer-focused Service Coordinator to join our team in Rotterdam. In this pivotal role, you will act as the central point of contact for service requests, ensuring efficient planning, resource coordination, and proactive communication to deliver outstanding service experiences to our customers.

You will work closely with field technicians, customers, and internal teams to manage scheduling, dispatching, and administrative processes that support operational excellence. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and a passion for customer service in a dynamic technical environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Act as the first point of contact for incoming service requests, inquiries, and customer feedback via phone, email, and internal systems.

  • Provide timely and accurate updates on service status, scheduling, and solutions, ensuring clear and professional communication.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through courteous and proactive interactions.

  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate technical or managerial personnel when necessary.

  • Plan, schedule, and dispatch service technicians for preventive maintenance, urgent repairs, and on-site visits, considering availability, skills, and location.

  • Optimize routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize travel time.

  • Monitor technician progress and provide real-time updates to customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate service calendars and resource allocation systems, including on-call duty rosters.

  • Process service orders, prepare quotations, and manage invoicing for service activities.

  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, customer data, and equipment details in CRM and ERP systems.

  • Prepare reports on service performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

  • Order and track parts and materials required for service jobs.

  • Support the service team with general administrative tasks and ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.

  • Coordinate the Stand-by Service

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in service coordination, dispatching, or customer service, preferably in an industrial, technical, or energy-related environment.

  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch (fluent required) and good working knowledge of English; French is a plus.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

  • Experience with scheduling software, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexible and calm under pressure, with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
