The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Service Sales Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll be Drive service sales growth and create real impact in the energy sector. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Service Sales Manager to generate opportunities, secure profitable sales, and deliver exceptional customer value. You will be building a long-term customer relationships, respond quickly to their needs, and help shape innovative solutions. How you’ll make an impact            

  • Identifying and pursuing new service sales opportunities within assigned territories and customer segments.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients by understanding their operational challenges and strategic objectives.
  • Preparing and delivering technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and demonstrations of Hitachi’s service portfolio.
  • Negotiating and closing service agreements, ensuring alignment with company targets and customer expectations.
  • Collaborating with customers to understand their infrastructure, systems, and operational requirements.
  • Conducting technical assessments and provide expert consultation on suitable Hitachi service solutions, including maintenance, support, upgrades, and managed services.
  • Working with internal technical and product teams to customize service offerings to meet specific customer needs and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements in the service sector.
  • Providing feedback to internal teams on market demands and customer needs to support service development and improvement.
  • Contributing to the development and execution of sales strategies and initiatives to expand market share and achieve sales targets.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress using CRM systems.
  • Preparing regular sales forecasts, reports, and analyses for management review.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 to 8 years of experience in service sales, technical sales, or a field engineering position within the industrial manufacturing sector. 
  • A solid understanding of industrial systems, IT infrastructure, or Hitachi product offerings. 
  • The ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Familiarity with service level agreements (SLAs) and service delivery models. 
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to identify customer challenges and propose value-oriented solutions. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster rapport and trust. 
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the designated territory. 
  • A valid driver’s license. 
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required, and fluency of the local language is a plus.
